Acceptable Formats for Submission

If you have high-resolution images to accompany a press release, please send these as attachments (preferably in JPG format) with full picture captions. The Editor reserves the right to edit all copy submitted without notice or proofs. This will only be done to make copy more readable or to reduce it to the required word count.

Technical & quality issues determine that our designers are only able to handle artwork in the following formats:

Acceptable Formats

Adobe Acrobat PDF (preferred format)
EPS files (with all fonts embedded, preferably converted to paths)
TIFF files
Hi-res JPG files

Unacceptable Formats

Quark documents
Word documents
Excel documents
Microsoft Publisher documents
PowerPoint documents
Low resolution JPG files
Anything which is not an EPS or PDF as above

Other Requirements

All artwork must be Apple Macintosh compatible and if colour be 4-colour process (CMYK) format
One file for the complete advert
All fonts must be embedded or converted to curves/paths. If this is not strictly adhered to, text will appear in 'Courier' typeface when output or may be omitted completely when output
Do not use true type fonts (they do not output correctly)
Ensure that the 'Job Option' is selected to at least 'Print Optimized' within Distiller and that all fonts are embedded.
