Quarterly Economic Survey
In Q4 2012, we were ranked 2nd out of 48 chambers across the UK
with a 55+% response rate , we are delighted to announce we have maintained our 2nd position in Q1 2013!
The Quarterly Economic Survey is the largest and most representative independent business survey of its kind in the UK, covering a substantial percentage of small businesses and the subsidiaries of large businesses.
The information you provide enables us to gauge local business confidence and serve you in the most productive way. It is particularly important in the current economic climate that the issues and concerns of businesses are accurately represented so they can best inform the development of regional and national economic policy.
Businesses are questioned on a wide range of issues, including: home sales and orders, export sales and orders, employment prospects, investment, recruitment difficulties, cashflow, confidence and price pressures.
Our response rates are being maintained by quarter, allowing us to feedback all of the latest data from the region. The South Wales Chamber of Commerce currently sends the QES to more than 8,500 businesses. Coverage of Mid Wales (in addition to South & West Wales) preceded the launch of the Mid Wales Chamber in January 2013 and responses from Mid Wales-based businesses continue to improve with each quarter.
Below you will find the published Quarterly Economic Surveys from 2009 available to download, along with all the important dates for 2013 QES's.
