What do you think? The
South Wales Chamber has recommended local
Government to adopt a 'Business Champion' on
behalf of the private sector to shape the course
of new business and manufacturing support models.
A key business figurehead and able lobbyist with
direct links to Government and no political
affiliations are critical to this role. Will a
Business Champion benefit or hinder businesses in
Wales? Text one of the following
responses to 82088: Will

New Minister Wants to Hear from
Members |
Mark Prisk MP, Minister of State for
Business and Enterprise, has said he wants civil
servants to spend time with businesses so they can
begin to better understand how they are run day to
day. As a result, the Department for Business has
asked the BCC if any Chamber members would be
interested in having a visit from central
Government in the July/August period.
Ideally, they would like to see
those that have recently accessed a form of
finance, such as the Enterprise Finance Guarantee,
to aid the running of their operation. If you are
interested please contact policy@southwaleschamber.co.uk.
