Guest speaker: Colin Charvis
Back rower Colin Charvis joined the Dragons in 2006 on a one-year contract. His former clubs include London Welsh, Swansea, the Newcastle Falcons and French side Tarbes. Charvis has featured in three Rugby World Cups, captaining Wales in the 2003 tournament in Australia. Charvis also has 2 caps for the British and Irish Lions; both appearances against Australia in 2001. After appearances in the 2006 RBS Six Nations, Charvis had a spell away from the international scene. In November 2007 Wales Caretaker Coach Nigel Davies included Charvis in his starting line-up for the inaugural Prince William Cup clash with South Africa. Despite the 34-12 defeat to the reigning world champions Charvis scored his 22nd try for his country in the clash, becoming the world's top forward try-scorer to date. Each ticket sold includes a donation to Cancer Research UK (Charity no: 1089464) which will be matched by Lloyds TSB. Last year’s event raised more than £7,000.
